An Important Message to our Members:

On behalf of the FYP-DC Board of Directors, I strongly urge you to volunteer and participate in 2012 to help ensure FYP-DC's continued success. FYP-DC leaders from the past 7 years are no longer able to manage daily operations due to personal commitments such as careers and families.

Get Involved!
We need help with administrative duties, website maintenance, accounting, event planning, membership recruitment and retention, community liaisons….you name it….we need help with it. If you are interested in helping in any way, contact: fypdc@yahoo.com.

2012 New Structure:

FYP-DC will have a Core Team instead of an Executive Board to maintain events and carry out administrative duties such as non-profit registration, website maintenance, and accounting.

The Core Team:
Designated FYP-DC Members and the Core Team will plan events and recruit volunteers. The Core Team will identify and mentor members to gain experience and assume 2013 leadership roles. The 2012 Core Team Members will be announced in a follow up email.

New Membership Model:
2012 Membership dues will not be required due to the decrease of events. Event attendees will be asked to donate a small amount to cover FYP-DC administrative costs.

Website and Social Media:
Stay tuned for event and organizational updates on FYP-DC's website (http://www.fypdc.org), the FYP-DC yahoo list-serve, and Facebook Page.
Tentative 2012 Schedule (Dates and Locations TBD):
" FEB: 9th Annual Speed Dating Event and 2012 Kick Off
" APRIL: Spring Happy Hour
" MAY: Dragon Boat Festival and Happy Hour
" AUG: Summer Picnic
" OCT: Filipino Heritage Month Event /Fall Happy Hour
" DEC: Holiday Party
